Portal – Level 19 | “Cake Room”, Fake Incinerator & Escape from GLaDOS

The cake is a lie, and the test is a trap. In this video, I play Test Chamber 19 in Portal, the last chamber of the official test track, where GLaDOS pretends to reward you with cake and then tries to lower you into an incinerator, forcing you to break out of the test route and start the escape through the facility. I first solve the “fake test” part of Chamber 19: redirecting a High Energy Pellet using an angled panel, riding the Unstationary Scaffold along the electrified track, and using portals to skip ahead to the end of the hall and stand on the final platform while GLaDOS congratulates me and opens the “cake” chamberlock. Instead of a normal exit, the platform carries me sideways over toxic goo towards an open incinerator pit; at the last moment I fire a portal onto the wall above the pipe and another on a nearby surface, then jump through to escape the platform and reach a tiny maintenance ledge, officially leaving the test track. From there I start the escape sequence: Using moving pistons and floor/ceiling portals to climb up behind the chamber walls. Navigating catwalks, turret ambushes and crusher rooms by placing portals on the tops and undersides of platforms to stay ahead of rising pistons. Abusing momentum to fling across large gaps deeper in the facility, following the “EXIT” arrows and scribbled warning signs instead of the usual test icons. The video ends when I reach the final pre‑boss corridor leading into the GLaDOS chamber, right before the actual boss fight starts. If you want, I can make a separate video description just for the GLaDOS fight itself.
