Diabete, camminare allunga la vita e la rende più sana

Walking regularly every day is beneficial for everyone, but especially for those with diabetes. Walking improves the effectiveness of treatment and also reduces insulin consumption. Walking improves physical well-being and quality of life. The minimum ideal walking time is 5,000 steps, equal to about 3 km, which requires about half an hour of physical activity. Five thousand steps is the distance everyone should walk daily to maintain good health. This is the minimum duration; gradually, you should aim to reach 10,000 steps per day. We interviewed Dr. Claudio Cricelli, president of the Italian Society of General Medicine (SIMG), on this topic. The SIMG has promoted physical activity through the "A Walk for Health" program.
