Fine Gael's Cllr Tim Durkan is a member of Kildare County Council, representing the Maynooth electoral area. Tim was first elected May 2014 and again in the 2019 and 2024 local elections. Tim has previously held the position of Deputy Mayor of Kildare County Council. Fianna Fail's Cllr Rita McInerney represents the Kilrush LEA on Clare County Council. First elected in 2024 Rita is a long-term community activist and Business Owner. Rita was previously Cathaoirleach (Chairperson) of the West Clare Municipal District, serving a one-year term until July 2025 and is a two-time General Election candidate for the Clare Constituency. Independent Cllr William O’Leary represents the Fermoy LEA -Cork County Council. First elected in 2019 as a Fianna Fail member William resigned from the party in 2024 and topped the June 2024 Local Elections and narrowly missed out a Dail Seat to represent the Cork East Constituency in the 2024 General Election.
