Comments Australia === After stunning the judges from the first episode, Nat Thaipan, a Thai woman in Australia, created Thai dishes adapted to have an international twist, including Larb Kangaroo, Pomelo Salad, Sticky Rice, and Jaew Som, to compete in MasterChef 2024. Most recently, Nat, in a Chun-Li look, created Thai dishes such as Sai Oua, Scotch Eggs, and Nam Prik Noom for the final round. (Scotch Eggs are a dish originating in England, consisting of a boiled egg covered in minced meat, then coated in breadcrumbs and fried.) With her fusion cuisine, full of Thai spices, this dish won the judges' hearts, allowing her to edge out her competitors and win the championship... After the competition, Nat was warmly supported by her Thai family who came to the studio to cheer her on. She said tearfully, “This is crazy. I feel like I’m dreaming, but it’s not a dream, it’s real. I just won MasterChef!” Following the Thai woman’s spectacular victory abroad, the MasterChef Facebook page posted numerous photos from the final, leading to a huge influx of comments from Australians, especially the post where Nat held up the championship trophy, which garnered over 2,000 comments.
