The cooked dal is spiced up, mashed, and stuffed inside whole wheat dough, then roasted on tawa with ghee till golden & crispy. Each bite is soft, flavorful, and has that earthy dal taste with chatpata masala. Perfect for summer & winter breakfast or lunch with dahi, achar, or lehsun chutney and mango or phirni. Super filling and great for tiffin too. Ingredients - Makes 6-7 Parathas For Dough: Whole wheat atta - 2 cups Salt - ½ tsp Ajwain - ¼ tsp, optional Water - as needed to knead soft dough For Matar Dal Stuffing: Matar Dal/Split yellow peas - 250 gram, boiled & mashed Onion - 1 small, finely chopped Green chilli - 1-2, finely chopped Fresh coriander - 2 tbsp, chopped Red chilli sabut 12pieces Cumin - ½ tsp Salt - to taste For Roasting: Ghee/Oil - as needed Key Points 1. *Dry stuffing*: Make sure boiled dal is thick & dry, not watery. Otherwise paratha will tear. 2. *Cool the stuffing*: Hot stuffing melts the dough.
