Detailing a Flintlock Rifle Barrel and Installing Barrel Lugs
The Iron Maiden Rifle Part 8 In this session, I hand file the machine marks from the octagonal barrel and detail the muzzle. This is followed by the mind numbing and wrist destroying process of dovetailing the lugs to the underside of the barrel. There are many styles and methods of manufacturing and installing barrel lugs. This is just the one I chose for this rifle. I broke out the die grinder for hogging material from the dovetails, as it's easier on my hands. Hacksawing causes physical problems. Thanks for watching, Sharek
