How Orchid development can reflect on care - Demanding Phalaenopsis

Today we take a look at my Phalaenopsis orchids and how they changed over a one year period. ▼▼▼More info bellow!▼▼▼ Last year I received a multitude of Phalaenopsis orchids and most of them had some serious root issues. At that moment, the pot and care regime that I could give them was more than sufficient to make them healthy and functional again. This year however things are completely different. Orchids that last summer required watering every 5 days, this year they require daily watering. This is solely due to the watering needs that evolved together with the orchids, the bigger root system and the fact that my setup and regime did not change together with them. This can give us a glimpse in the future for orchids in similar cases. If a setup doesn't take into account this increase in demand, we might wake up one day with quite the frustrating situation. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ✿ Want to send me something?
