The Government Media Office in Gaza announced that the Emergency Committee and the Government Work Follow-up Committee have dissolved themselves, and that their head, Muhammad al-Farra, has submitted his resignation. The office confirmed the transfer of the committee's powers to the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, calling for the expedited entry of its members into the Strip. For his part, Ali Shaath, head of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, said that the committee is ready to assume its responsibilities, and that its success depends on the existence of one authority, one law, and one armed force under its control. Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem told Al Jazeera that the occupation is evading its role as the violator of the agreement by spreading misinformation and leveling accusations against Hamas.
