POV: An unschooling mama and her tiny explorer taking on the skies together. ✈️🤍 There’s something magical about travelling with your child when learning isn’t limited to books or classrooms. Every journey becomes a lesson, every moment becomes a memory. This trip from Mumbai to Guwahati on Akasa Air was exactly that for us. Watching Jerry's eyes light up at the sight of the airplane, waving at the pilots, staring endlessly at the clouds, giggling at little things, giving random hugs, and simply being present in every moment reminded me why I love travelling with her so much. As an unschooling mother, I constantly find myself learning alongside her. She teaches me to slow down, notice details, be curious and find joy in the simplest experiences. From airport adventures and window-seat observations to our cuddles in the sky, every second of this trip became a memory I'll carry in my heart forever. And the excitement didn't end there. We were going home to Aaita, Coca, Chachus, chachi and Ayush Dada. The thought of seeing her run into their arms made my heart even fuller. Her happiness somehow becomes my happiness. The only thing missing on this trip was Papa. We missed him in every little moment and wished he was there to witness all these beautiful memories with us. To every parent who's nervous about travelling with a toddler, here's my little reminder: Don't be afraid to travel with your little one. Travel doesn't make toddlers difficult; if anything, it often makes them calmer, happier and more connected to the world around them. There is so much to imagine, explore and observe that their minds stay busy soaking in experiences instead of getting lost in tantrums.
