Day 4: National Workshop on Statistical Analysis of Biological Data About the Speaker: Dr. Sreenivas Vishnubhatla was a Professor of Biostatistics at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. He has over 40 years of experience spread in the Indian Council of Medical Research, Chennai; Cancer Institute, Chennai; ICMR HRs, New Delhi and the AIIMS, New Delhi. He is the recipient of the Excellence Award, Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation, USA; Chief of the Naval Staff Award for the best publication; Smt. Suraj Kali Jain Award of the Indian Society for Medical Statistics. He is a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society UK; a Commonwealth Academic Fellow at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, UK; WHO Fellow at the KhonKaen University, Thailand. He has been Member of various bodies including the Assessment Board of the Indian Council of Medical Research; Technical Evaluation Committee of the Department of Health Research, Government of India; Project Review Committees of Oncology, Neurology and Ophthalmology of ICMR; Member Secretary, Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) for Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India sponsored projects, Member, Institute Ethics Committee of the AIIMS. He is also a Member, Editorial Board, Nepalese Journal of Statistics; Advisor (Biostatistics) to the Journal of Neonatology, India; Statistical Consultant to the Journal of Indian Association of Child and Adult Mental Health (JIACAM); Biostatistics Section Editor: Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery; Statistical Editor of the Indian Journal of Dermatology and Venereal Diseases (IJDVL). He is a Biostatistics Reviewer for Journal of Clinical Oncology (American Society for Clinical Oncology), Pediatrics (American Academy of Pediatrics), Indian Journal of Medical Research, Indian Journal of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology, and Indian Pediatrics He has contributed to more than 600 original articles in various disciplines of clinical medicine in some of the most prestigious journals; authored 2 Books including one on Biostatistics; contributed to 11 Technical reports, and also authored one chapter in a Text book. He is a highly accomplished Biostatistician in the country with an h-index of 59 and an I-10 index of 311.
