Panel session: From promise to practice: how do we know if AI is safe and effective, and how can it be scaled? Critical to spreading AI in the NHS will be our ability to evaluate the new uses of AI, understand whether they are safe and effective, and learn what will matter for adopting them. This session will explore the key issues at stake, hear from Health Foundation award holders who are grappling first-hand with these challenges, and consider what matters most for scaling AI from the perspectives of regulators, industry and users.
