Jn 21, 1-14 “Muchachos, ¿han pescado algo?”
At that time, Jesus appeared again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias. He appeared to them in this way: Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael (from Cana in Galilee), the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples were gathered together. Simon Peter said to them, "I'm going fishing." They replied, "We are also going with you." They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. It was dawn when Jesus appeared on the shore, but the disciples did not recognize him. Jesus said to them, "Children, have you caught anything?" They answered, "No." Then he said to them, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat and you will find fish." So they did, and immediately they could not pull in the net for so many fish. Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord." As soon as Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he tied his tunic around his waist, for he had taken it off, and jumped into the water. The other disciples came into the boat, dragging the net with the fish, for they were not more than 100 meters from land. As soon as they jumped onto land, they saw some glowing embers, with fish and bread on them. Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish you have just caught." Then Simon Peter got into the boat and dragged the net, full of large fish, to shore. There were 153 of them, and despite the number of them, the net did not break. Then Jesus said to them, "Come and have breakfast." And none of the disciples dared to ask him, "Who are you?" because they already knew that it was the Lord. Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, along with the fish. This was the third time that Jesus appeared to his disciples after he rose from the dead.
