A compact car that's pleasant to drive, dynamic, comfortable, and very easy to live with on a daily basis… but which, in my opinion, raises some serious questions about its premium positioning and, above all, its value for money. Audi presents this A1 as a premium city car. In some respects, it does indeed reflect the brand's DNA: modern design, good road holding, onboard technology, and solid handling. But once inside, I find that it lacks many elements to truly justify this high-end positioning. What the 2026 Audi A1 offers: • A successful exterior design: a modern, compact, and dynamic look • A very pleasant driving experience: a lively, precise, and reassuring car for everyday use • A good level of comfort: enjoyable both in the city and on the highway • Modern instrumentation with the familiar Audi feel • But disappointing finishes: a lot of hard plastics in the cabin • Some features are missing despite the price: no adaptive cruise control on certain versions, a manual handbrake, and limited standard options • An interior ambiance that, in my opinion, clearly lacks a premium feel • A price that is becoming difficult to justify compared to some better-equipped competitors In this video, I give you my honest opinion on the 2026 Audi A1: a fun and efficient car to drive, but one that leaves me with mixed feelings about the perceived quality and overall performance offered by Audi today.
