Vintage Hand Drill Restoration

Vintage Hand Drill Restoration This old hand drill machine was heavily rusted and missing most of its handles. Only the main gears were still in usable condition. First, I cleaned all the parts with a wire brush to remove loose rust and dirt. After that, I used a 12V electrolysis setup with water and caustic soda to soften and remove the remaining rust. The parts stayed in the solution for about 30 minutes. Once the rust was removed, I buffed all the parts and sanded the surfaces that needed paint. After sanding, I painted the required parts and polished the chrome pieces to bring back their shine. I also made two new handles from hardwood. The old inserts inside the handles were damaged, so I made new ones and fitted them properly to ensure a strong and secure grip. The final result is a fully restored hand drill machine, ready to work again. #KhanRestoration #HandDrillRestoration #RustRemoval
