Silvester-Schach: Zwei Partien, viel Glück
New Year's Eve Special. I'm playing two rapid games on chess.com, commenting them live during the game, and then analyzing them with the computer. Both games end with a spoiler alert: In both cases, I was the Elo favorite, but my opponents played better. Better than their rating and better than me. You always need luck to win. Did I have enough? There's even an answer to the question of whether you really need luck and what for, anyway. But for the new year, we wish each other luck, so I'm explicitly wishing you all the best. Of course, this applies to every other day as well... There are plenty of inaccuracies, and yet the analysis is surprisingly favorable: Anything over 90% always raises suspicions of engine use. So it's better to stay below that. Did I manage it? We'll see. As always: A major blunder, obsequiously commented on – and then everything explained. As you know, it's all about the right excuse. And I definitely got some sleep. But far too little. And luck is skill (Herman Gerland). Or is it? I doubt it. Happy New Year. #Chess #RapidChess #ChessCom #ChessAnalysis #NewYearsEve #Irony
