Budget vintage lenses on medium format mirrorless cameras, Hasselblad X1D II Canon FD 35mm f3.5 lens
I have tested a lot of vintage lenses for 35mm cameras on my Hasselblad X1D II medium format camera, and I will be uploading reviews of several of these. My goal was to examine the sharpness, color rendering, and the ability to fill the large medium format sensor without much vignetting. During these tests I was surprised how many cheap, very old lenses actually gave very pleasing results. The first review is of the Canon 35mm f3.5 lens, that I have owned for many years and used with great joy on my Canon A1 and F1. But how well does this seventies lens perform on a modern high resolution camera? I was surprised, will you also be?
