Oil Leak Behind Muffler? Craftsman Lawn Mower Fix

In this video I track down and fix an oil leak on a Craftsman lawn mower. I noticed oil leaking from behind the muffler on the left side of the engine and traced it back to the valve spring cover gasket. Valve Cover Gasket Link https://amzn.to/3PqNFXU Briggs & Stratton 699833 Breather Gasket Replacement for Models 272481, 271904, 699472 and 696125 The old gasket had failed, so I removed the valve cover, cleaned the surfaces, and installed a new gasket to stop the leak. If your mower is leaking oil near the muffler area, this may be the cause.
