Camping at Wolwehok Campsite Near Paarl in the Western Cape

Wolwehok is a great weekend break away. Only 60 km from Cape Town, it is an easy drive after work on a Friday afternoon. From the turn off it is a couple of km of fairly good gravel road until you reach the camp. There is only 13 campsites where of 10 is on a lower level and 3 higher up the mountain. Most of the campsites have great shade and protection from the wind. Some of the sites have a lapa for shade. All the campsites are on grass with taps scattered throughout the camp. You can pre order firewood and ice. The camp is up in the mountains and makes for beautiful views of the mountain peaks. There is a stream running next to the camp. The hiking routes up the mountain will lead you pass the real Wolwehok. There is even a rock pool higher up. The ablutions are modern and well kept. You are bound to have a great time here.
