We will discuss ordered pairs, input and output tables, and how to take the coordinates of a point and plot the point on a coordinate grid. First, we locate the x-coordinate and the y-coordinate. The point is plotted at the intersection of these x and y coordinates along the x-axis and the y-axis. Once the points are graphed, we can connect the points using a straight line or a smooth curve. This lets us visualize what the data looks like and from this we can infer the real life situation that the graph represents.
