In some mosques, we often see people prolonging the final prostration during their prayers, aiming to increase their prayers during that time, as prayers during prostration are most likely to be answered. ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ So, is this permissible? ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ From our explanation in this video, prolonging the final prostration during prayer in order to increase prayers is not part of the sunnah taught by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ Prolonging prostration is generally permissible, but singling out the final prostration or any other specific prostration is not mentioned in the evidence. If it occurs once or coincides with the need for more prayers, then it is not a problem and should not become a habit. This is if the person is praying alone.
