Kate McCue Interview | First Female Cruise Ship Captain in US
Captain Kate McCue is the captain of the cruise ship Edge, a new ocean liner by Celebrity Cruises. Captain Kate is the first female cruise ship captain in the industry, and I caught up with her when she docked her mighty vessel at Mallory Square here in Key West. The shoot, commissioned by New York Moves Magazine for their annual Power Women edition, included both an editorial spread complete with wardrobe from St Laurent and Kate's signature Louboutin heels, as well as an interview with questions both submitted by the magazine, and others I added during the course of our exchange, simply to satisfy my own curiosity. We had a wonderful day with an all-female team, and left walking a few inches taller (though not because we had on Kate's heels!)
