22 - Novara in cima

The beautiful dome of the Santa Maria Assunta cathedral allows visitors to admire the panorama from a new perspective. It was designed by the architect Alessandro Antonelli and it was built thanks to the citizens' money in 1878. It was recently opened to the public and it allows visitors to enjoy the panorama that extends from Novara to the rice fields up to the Alpine crown (Piedmont) at a height of 100 meters. The Dome overlooks the San Gaudenzio cathedral, a real treasure of the Renaissance.
