Besigye takes campaign to Museveni's home district, asks supporters to be firm
“I am not challenging President Yoweri Museveni in the 2016 election because I don’t like him. It’s because he cannot take Uganda to the next level of development.” Those were the words of FDC presidential candidate Dr. Kiiza Besigye as he campaigned in President Museveni’s home district of Kiruhura. Dr. Besigye made various stopovers in Kiruhura and neighboring Ibanda districts where he promised that the FDC government would ensure equal distribution of national resources.
