Plus Valley is a reasonably uncommon trekking spot in Maharashtra. The valley is surrounded by towering mountains on all four sides and looks like a plus symbol from the viewing point; hence, it gets the name Plus Valley. It is a moderately challenging trek that leads you to a naturally formed infinity pool, where one can swim, try cliff jumping & camp for the night. This place is one of the hidden gems of Maharashtra & off the usual trekking map & it is the starting point of the famous Devkund waterfall. The starting point of the Plus Valley trek is a four-way bridge built for tourists near Dongarwadi, next to Tamhani village, in the Tamhani Ghat that leads to Konkan. Since two valleys intersect at this place, when viewed from the aerial view, it looks like a ‘+’ sign and this is why this valley got its name ‘Plus Valley’. While descending from the four-way bridge into the valley, we initially come across a layer of brittle stones. The huge boulders seen on the way down show the grandeur of the valley. We keep moving forward, keeping aside the high cliff wall on the right. We can see experienced climbers practicing rock climbing on this cliff wall as well. In thirty to thirty-five minutes, we reach the bottom of the valley.Music from #InAudio: https://inaudio.org/ Track Name. As soon as we enter the valley, we come across a dark forested area. Water flowing through the cracks in the rocks is visible in many places. Even in summer, there is never a shortage of water here. Turning right through the forest, we reach a small pond. The water is flowing and clean, so the bottom of the water is clearly visible.
