But the entry wasn't as smooth as we'd imagined: as soon as we crossed the border, the Slovenian police stopped us to verify our status within the Schengen Area. An unexpected moment that left us with a few minutes of uncertainty. After the check, we continued our journey through the first towns of Slovenia, discovering green landscapes, peaceful roads, and our first impressions of a country we were eager to explore.
