This issue of Youth! Passport to the Future introduces the Yamagata Hula Girls Club Pirina. This hula dance team operates not as a school-based team, but as a community-based club. It consists of four high school students. This year, they've been selected to compete in the Hula Girls Koshien, a dream stage for students passionate about hula dancing. Naturally, this is the first time they've competed in this tournament for a team from the prefecture. We followed the girls as they aim for their first victory in their first appearance.
