As part of the landscaping project led by Euroméditerranée on the esplanade of Marseille Cathedral, an excavation conducted from March to October 2008 revealed the presence of a mosaic that may have belonged to the episcopal palace and a parish cemetery in use from the 12th century until the modern era.
