BACKRIDE BY TRAIN | Stasiun Walikukun sampai Stasiun Sragen

This video presents the journey from Walikukun Station (+74 M) to Sragen Station (+86 M). This plot also passes two other stations, namely Kedungbanteng Station (+85 M) and Kebonromo Station (+86 M). Part of this plot belongs to Ngawi Regency, East Java Province and the other part belongs to Sragen Regency, Central Java Province. This plot, in addition to being the border between the two provinces, is also the border between the Madiun 7 operation area and the 6 Yogyakarta operation area, precisely at the Kali Sawur Bridge, located on the plot between Walikukun Station and Kedungbanteng Station. The double track in this plot is operated in stages, starting on March 05, 2019 for the Walikukun - Kedungbanteng plot and starting on November 30, 2019 for the Kedungbanteng - Sragen plot so as to increase the efficiency of train travel time compared to when it was a single line because there are no more crossings between train. Most of the stations in this plot also underwent a major overhaul, including the building and the station emplacement area. In addition, the signaling system in this plot, which was previously mechanical, has been replaced by electric signaling since the double track has been officially operated. In this plot between Walikukun Station - Kedungbanteng Station, an Extraordinary Incident occurred on April 6, 2018, namely the Sancaka train accident on the Yogyakarta - Surabaya Gubeng connection which was tempered by a truck carrying concrete bearings for the double track project. As a result of this incident, the locomotive overturned and several trains were badly damaged. This accident claimed the lives of the machinist and one project worker while the assistant engineer suffered serious injuries. All other passengers and crew of the train survived.
