Leçon de vie... ⎮Développement personnel et spiritualité
A few days ago, I finally grasped a major principle of personal development and spirituality. I'm sharing my experience and trying to explain it in my own way... (I've added a few things in writing, so feel free to check out the description). The external world reflects our inner world; the person in front of me is my mirror... So many phrases I've read countless times without ever truly understanding them. Today, I think I've finally integrated these fundamental principles. As usual, while editing this video, I realized I'd forgotten to mention some things and clarify others. The mirror effect is a bit more complex than "what I see in others is what I have in myself." I think this process is valuable for looking within ourselves at what resonates with us and learning to know ourselves better. For example, if a YouTuber annoys me, it's not necessarily because I have things in common with her. But what would be interesting is for me to ask myself, "Hey, she's driving me crazy. Why? What is it triggering in me? What does it say about me?" This would allow me to look at myself from the outside and learn more about my own mechanisms and the person I am. In fact, the "mirror effect" has more of a "boomerang" effect, in my opinion. It's by observing our reactions and thoughts toward things and situations that our own image is reflected back to us. Another thing is the concept of glasses and preconceived ideas. If we hold a belief, our brain will filter things to confirm that belief. Here's a specific example: if we have doubts about our partner's fidelity, there's a good chance we'll notice all the little things that would prove to us that they're cheating on us. Conversely, if we are convinced that this person is the most wonderful man alive, and that he is the man of our dreams, the brain will absorb all the information confirming this idea. Hence, I believe, the value of having supportive beliefs. Might as well see the bright side of things, right?
