Superior Hiking Trail - 40 Miles Alone

I have backpacked on Superior Hiking Trail about 30 times and have hiked the whole trail several times over. On this trip, I tackled what might be my favorite section of the SHT. I hiked 40 miles from Crosby Manitou State Park south to Beaver Bay. The weather was perfect as I enjoyed Sonju Lake, Egge Lake, Baptism River, Sawmill Bog, Section 13, Sawmill Dome, ridgeline views of Lake Superior, High Falls of Tettegouche State Park, Mount Trudee, Round Mountain, Bear Lake, Bean Lake, and the Beaver River.
