Printing a lithograph Step 1: Prepping the aluminum plate
A lot goes into a lithograph! The first step is similar to most printmaking methods which is to prep the surface you use for creating the image. In this case I am using a ball ground aluminum plate to create my lithography image. I like to use limestone as well, but the plates are more portable than dragging around a 300 lb. stone! The next step (and video) will be drawing on the plate once the surface is prepared. #lithograph #lithography #platelithography #printmaking #lithographyprintmaking #printing #printmakingideas #printmakingstudio
