We present this rare footage—which garnered worldwide attention as a first of its kind at the time—almost exactly as it was originally filmed. It is a single, continuous 3-minute-and-20-second shot capturing a mother brown bear with her cub: she digs into the burrow of an Arctic ground squirrel, chases the squirrel as it darts out, and finally catches it. This footage was featured in a BBC documentary and broadcast globally. It was filmed in Denali National Park, Alaska; several groups of tourists witnessed the scene from their vehicles right next to our film crew.
