【台湾2日目】台北から花蓮へ/七星潭の海が想像以上だった!台鉄で行く日帰り絶景旅

We are a couple in our 50s who love driving, traveling, and hiking. This is the second day of our 2-night, 3-day trip to Taiwan. This time, we took the Taiwan Railways (TRA) from Taipei Station for a day trip to Hualien, a town on Taiwan's east coast. The scenery of the coastline and mountains flowing past the train window was beyond our imagination. After arriving, we headed to Qixingtan and were deeply moved by the spectacular view of the deep blue Pacific Ocean. We then strolled around the town, visiting Pacific Park and the area around Dongdamen Market. The fresh mango shaved ice we had along the way was also exquisite. On the way back, we took a break at the stylish cafe "AN NA COFFEE" near Hualien Station. We bought TRA bento boxes and enjoyed dinner on the train on our way back to Taipei. Hualien, which we visited for the first time, is rich in nature, has a strong local character, and seems like a very livable town.
