A Day Off in America 🇺🇸 [Walmart, Marshalls & 7-Eleven]

Today we had a day off, and since the weather was beautiful, we decided to take a trip to Riverhead. Our plan was simple: check out Marshalls, explore Walmart, and finally try 7-Eleven for the very first time. We traveled to Riverhead by bus and started our little adventure at Marshalls. It’s kind of like a discount department store where you can find quality brands for much lower prices. There were so many interesting things to look at, and it was fun comparing it to the stores we have back home in Hungary. Next, we headed to Walmart… and wow, that place is absolutely massive. It honestly felt more like sightseeing than shopping! Everything is bigger in the U.S., especially the food portions. We also found an incredible Hot Wheels section—it was like paradise for collectors. I’ve never seen anything like that in Hungary. On our way back, we stopped at 7-Eleven for lunch. I had their famous $2 hot dog, which I’d always heard about but had never tried before. It wasn’t anything fancy, but it’s one of those classic American experiences that you just have to try at least once. After lunch, we made our way back to camp, tired but happy after a fun day exploring. Even a simple shopping trip turned into a great little adventure, and it was really interesting to see some of the everyday differences between life in the United States and Hungary.
