Sir David Suchet in conversation with the Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle
On Easter Day, we’ll be premiering a specially recorded reading of St John's Gospel by acclaimed actor Sir David Suchet, which has been filmed in the historic Jerusalem Chamber at Westminster Abbey. You’ll be able to watch the reading on this channel from 4.00pm (BST) on Easter Day, Sunday 4 April, and on demand afterwards. Ahead of the event, Sir David joined the Dean of Westminster, the Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle, to discuss the significance and beauty of St John’s Gospel and what it means to him. There is no charge to join us for the event, but please make a donation if you can. The Abbey receives no Church or State funding, and the drastic reduction in income caused by the Covid pandemic puts our priceless heritage - from the unique building and collections to a world class music foundation - at risk. Please contribute to our Heritage Preservation Appeal by visiting http://westminster-abbey.org/support-us, or send a text to 70025 (UK only) with the words ABBEY5 to give £5, ABBEY10 to give £10 or ABBEY20 to give £20. Thank you. And if you would like to discover more, Sir David has recorded the whole of the New International Version of the Bible for Hodder & Stoughton’s NIV Audio Bible, which is available in iOS and Android app formats, as well as on MP3 CD and as an audio download: http://linktr.ee/nivaudiobible
