289 - Croatia, Cavtat, Dubrovnik and Srebreno: Libertas buses in July 2023

Between 13th July 2023 and 23rd July 2023, we visited Croatia and the beautiful Dalmatia region staying in Cavtat (pronounced "Sav-tat") a uniquely wonderful small resort containing the superb 5-star Hotel Croatia where we have stayed each summer for the past ten years. Most of our filming has taken place in Cavtat and in Dubrovnik, the capital city of the region with its famous "old city" that is instantly recognisable to "Throneys" as King's Landing from "Game of Thrones". We also visited the resort of Srebreno and filmed some of the buses there. The principle operator is LIBERTAS based in Dubrovnik but running an extensive network throughout the region. It has a very modern fleet, most of which is funded with European Union aid for public transport, something you see throughout continental Europe and which we will have missed out on due to our stupid BREXIT decision that has left our country much poorer than it would otherwise have been.
