Here is a deep dive into the massive Pasay Harbor's highly anticipated ₱27-Billion Philippine International Exhibition Center (PIEC). Soon to be the largest MICE in south east asia, it is a bold flagship project by the national government of the Philippines as it aims regional dominance on expos, trade shows, and conventions. Conceptualized by architect William Ti Jr., the PIEC, an iconic Philippine structure, is inspired by Balangay, a national water transport boat used by early Filipinos which sailed against the big waves of the oceans. The final contract is awarded to EEI by DPWH and once completed, it will be an iconic structure for the Philippines by 2028. Manila bay is hosting two new big waterfront reclamation cities: Smart City by SMDC and Harbor City by PHCC. The PIEC will be constructed on the newly reclaimed Island B, Harbor Bay, Pasay City fronting the CCP complex.
