The Mercedes G-Class, code W460, was born in 1979 as a pure off-road vehicle initially designed for agricultural, industrial, and military purposes, following in the footsteps of the Land Cruiser, Land Rover Defender, and Lada Niva. Over the years, it was refined to become a luxury SUV, a direct rival to the Range Rover, while maintaining the German brand's excellent construction. Our protagonist is a unit manufactured in the early 1980s, therefore a first-generation model, imported to Spain in the 1990s under a Palencia license plate.
