Yüksekova'da izinsiz yürüyüşe polis müdahalesi

Police denied permission for a press conference and march in the Yüksekova district of Hakkari, led by the Democratic Society Congress (DTK) and the Democratic Regions Party (DBP). Despite this, police intervened with water cannons against the group attempting to march and sit-in, and two people were detained. DBP, HDP, and Green Left Party Yüksekova district officials, Green Left Party Hakkari Deputies Öznur Bartın and Onur Düşünmez, Ağrı Deputies Necla Demir, and Van Deputies Gülderen Varlı, along with approximately 30 others, gathered on Cengiz Topel Street in the district to protest ongoing operations against the PKK in northern Iraq. Police denied permission for the unauthorized press conference and march. The group then attempted to hold a sit-in protest in the street. Despite police warnings, the crowd refused to disperse, and they were dispersed using water cannons and tear gas. Some protesters dispersed into the streets and threw stones at police vehicles. A brief period of unrest ensued in the district center, and two people were detained.
