From there, the route heads towards the Kühroint Alm in the Watzmann cirque. We bypass all five Watzmannkinder peaks and proceed to the start of the Wieder Route. A steep and somewhat loose gully leads upwards, and shortly afterwards we reach the Wiederband, which gives the Wiederroute its name. After passing the Bandwächter (Guardian of the Band), the route continues upwards until we reach the Watzmann Mittelspitze (Watzmann Middle Peak) at 2713m.
