Chordplay - add9 Chords

Hey everyone! Here's the next episode of Chordplay with add9 Chords. I've been wanting to introduce this idea for some Chordplay lessons that feature some of my favorite chord types and (eventually) progressions - not to mention continuing to create more lessons featuring the music of various guitarists/bands. To kick things off, we're looking at the interesting & inspiring sound of add9 chords - let's dive in! This lesson is different than most Chordplay episodes, as we're targeting a specific type of chord in this lesson, rather than encountering it within a famous song or riff. While there are a lot of various add9 chords being shared in this lesson, we're also taking a look at the bridge section of Jeff Buckley's 'Lover You Should've Come Over' (from Grace). We've looked at this section of the song before in his Chordplay lesson from a few years ago, but that song features a couple of add9 ideas/flavors that I wanted to include here, and it seemed to be a perfect fit for a song example this add9-focused lesson! Needless to say, if you're interested in learning more about chord extensions, add9 chords, chord construction, not to mention a varied assortment of great sounding major and minor add9 chords in the keys of E & A - this lesson is totally for you!
