MY OLD SKETCH BOOKS

IN THIS EPISODE: Here are my first four sketchbooks from my youth. My father bought them for me because he signed me up for a drawing class at the brand new Awbury Recreation Center on Ardliegh Street. I did not know that paper came bound in books like that. I guess Bienfang Paper is still around. Seems like the art supply stores are mostly filled with Strathmore and Canson products. My father probably bought these at E&H Hobby Shop on Chelten Ave. And I just used a number two pencil for the drawings, because that’s all I knew about. The teacher, who taught tennis at the rec center, told me about HB to 6B pencils. I had no idea about those. Anyway, here are my first four sketchbooks so you can see how I used to draw when I was a teenager. Do like I did, keep drawing.
