Parents as Agents of Change (PAC): Empowering Families Through Action and Confidence

This training introduces Family Peer Advocates (FPAs) to the Parents as Agents of Change (PAC) Model, a strength-based framework that helps caregivers recognize and overcome barriers to supporting their children and families. Participants will explore how factors such as self-efficacy, motivation, emotions, and social influences impact a caregiver’s ability to take action. Through discussion, real-world examples, and practical strategies, FPAs will learn how to use the PAC Model to build family confidence, strengthen engagement, and promote family-driven care. The training emphasizes collaboration, empowerment, and helping families move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to taking meaningful and achievable next steps toward their goals.
