Black Rock Desert

We’re heading to a place we’ve camped several times before to serve as our jumping off point for this adventure... Black Rock Desert. But this time we’re going to explore some trails on the eastern side that we haven’t seen before. Our ultimate goal is to get up into the Pine Forst Range of Northern Nevada, but as you will soon see. Things don’t always go according to plan. Along the way we stop in to check out Black Rock Spring before spending the night in silence on the playa. The following moring we make the drive up to a seldom seen lookout, before heading north past double Hot Spring on our way to Soldier Meadows.
