Włodzimierz Naumiuk. Z drewna potrafi zrobić niemal WSZYSTKO

Włodzimierz Naumiuk is one of the most renowned folk sculptors in Podlasie. He was born in 1935 in Kaniuki, a small village on the Narew River, where he has spent his entire life. Orphaned at an early age (his father, Paweł, was shot by the Germans in 1944, and his mother, Olga, died a few years later), he was raised by his uncle and grandmother, who had a significant influence on his life and work. He completed seven years of primary school in Paweł. He worked for a year on the village's electrification, but his greatest passion was woodworking. As a child, he carved roots and built toys, later turning to carpentry and woodcarving, carving window ornaments, wind braces, and corner posts.
