Child Labour in Nigeria: 24 Million Children at Risk | FMLE Symposium Millions of children across Nigeria continue to face the harsh reality of child labour, with nearly 14 million engaged in hazardous work. At the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment's Child Labour Symposium in Lagos, government officials, labour inspectors and development partners renewed their commitment to ending child labour through stronger enforcement, public awareness and strategic collaboration. Held to commemorate the World Day Against Child Labour, the symposium was themed "Red Card to Child Labour: Fair Play for Children, Decent Work for Adults."
