3 Chuck Berry Licks From 1972

Here's the next episode of Three-For-All with 3 Chuck Berry Licks From 1972. As I mentioned in the video, Chuck Berry is an essential rock guitar legend of extraordinary importance and influence. Chuck single-handedly inspired and influenced everyone with his memorable music, innovative guitar playing, and flamboyant stage moves that first erupted in the mid-1950s and continued for decades. This lesson features a number of ideas that came from a live appearance in Germany from 1972 when Chuck was touring Europe during one of his countless "'70s Comeback" concert tours. This is classic footage of Chuck strutting his stuff and he pulls out all of the stops - from the duck-walk and the splits, to burning through some of his greatest hits and playing his fingers off, he did it all. And was also singing! Several sections of this lesson feature double-stop phrasing, which are two notes combined/sounded together on two adjacent strings. Aside from Chuck's classic double-stop licks that appear in this lesson, there's also an area where we're breaking down where a lot of these licks and phrases came from and how you can create your own ideas from these approaches. In other words, you can use Chuck's template for getting these sounds by creating your own variations using some of his signature licks and phrases as a guide.
