Title: Sucker Rod Pumping System Design – QRod 3.1 QRod is the most widely used Sucker Rod Pumping design program. This program displays results in any system of units and uses a damped wave equation to accurately predict the surface and pump dynamometer loads, gearbox torque and pump capacity, with minimum input. QRod’s objective is to help the beam pumping system designer implement state of the art design technology without getting buried with details. Changing parameters such as tubing anchor, stroke length, stroke rate, or pump diameter is immediately seen in oil and gas dynamically updated plots. Patterson equation in Pump Slippage Calculator allows specifying pump clearance to determine the pump slippage, pump efficiency and to predict the net pump displacement. This and other QRod features will be discussed during the presentation.
