Centaur foal | OOAK art doll making process
DIY ball-jointed OOAK art doll. Fully posable. There were a lot of “firsts” with this project, and it took me almost six months to complete. I’d never made resin eyes or sculpted elbow joints before, so I loosely followed these tutorials: Resin eyes @Atelier-Mia • 【粘土×レジン】深い緑のドールアイ メイキング動画 Doll joints @katesamostudio • Double Joints for Ball-Jointed Doll from c... As for the horse body: I wanted it to be a little fluffy and was worried the hooves would disappear under the fur, so I made them bigger. Turns out… not my best decision 😅 as I then had to make the legs thicker than originally planned. The fur is also a bit much, but I couldn’t find a better alternative - everything else I tried looked far too shiny and synthetic. The final piece doesn’t quite look like a centaur, but I still love the little guy. Original sculpt for the silicone mold: • Snowy Faun baby | OOAK art doll making pro...
