In recent years beaches on Makran Coastal Highway are being explored by people of Karachi but do you know about Daam or Damb Beach? It is an unexplored jewel in Balochistan which is just 2 hours drive from Karachi.If you want to see the desert dunes, clean sea water and a beautiful sun set then Daam Balochistan, which is spelled as Damb Balochistan, is the place for you.Damb is a fishing community which can be accessed through Damb Road from Winder city where you can reach through N25 from Karachi. It is located near Sonmiani Beach which is famous because of Sonmiani Air Defence Beach Hut. It is located on a distance of 90 kilometers from Karachi which takes approximately 2 hours. The Damb Road is not well maintained because of which it takes 2 hours to reach the beach. It is located just opposite to Miani Hor which is a swampy lagoon in Lasbela District of Balochistan. Check this Google Map to know the exact location:Like many other beaches of the Makran Coastal Highway such as Ormara and Pasni this place lacks basic facilities. The area has fishing communities & villages nearby but there are no huts, hotels, restaurants and guest houses.Few tour operators have started offering visits to this place. In summer they start the journey from Karachi in night and reach the destination before sunrise while in winters they prefer to reach during sunset. The package prices may differ but on average the charges and cost is Rs. 3,000/person with all facilities. Including breakfast and lunch or dinner and breakfast. Recently after pictures and videos of the beach became viral people starting coming to the place with friends and family.
